\n<strong>Cleaning Instructions</strong>
\n
\nTo keep your rug looking its best, regular vacuuming is recommended. To vacuum fringe or shag rugs, go slowly over the surface to allow for maximum dust and dirt removal. Avoid using suction settings or beater bars ? depending on the strength of your vacuum; threads may get caught up in the vacuum. Always follow your vacuum cleaner?s manufacturer?s instructions. Stains should be treated differently from one another and depend on the type of material used to make your rug; therefore, we cannot provide detailed instructions here. We recommend using a professional cleaning or dry-cleaning service for optimal care.
\n
\nFor most stains, mild ivory dishwashing soap and water will do the trick. For tougher stains, ammonia or vinegar may also be necessary. Avoid any product containing bleach. Before you start cleaning a stain, it?s important to pretest your method in an inconspicuous spot on the rug. Cleaning spills and stains immediately will prevent penetration of the liquid into the pile fibre. That way, you can avoid a more difficult-to-remove stain later on down the line. We recommend blotting up liquids by applying pressure with a clean white towel or cloth. Always work from the exterior of the stain inward; never rub, scrub or use a brush. Wipe gently while turning your cloth frequently so that you don?t damage the pile by rubbing too hard against it while cleaning. To protect your rug?s delicate fibres during cleaning?and keep it looking nice and new for years to come?always dab in the direction of its pile (with fibres pointing upward). Be careful not to soak it when cleaning because too much moisture can cause streaking and mildew over time and shrinkage if left unchecked.
\n
\nOnce the stain has been removed, blot up the moisture with a clean towel or cloth.

\n<strong>Certification</strong>
\n
\nAll our machine-knotted rugs from Turkey are certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX?, a globally uniform and independent testing- and certification system for textiles. The certification means that the finished product is free from hazardous chemicals.
\n
\nSTeP certification allows manufacturers, brands and retailers to establish and continuously improve ecological manufacturing processes, socially responsible working conditions and worker safety in their supply chain?s production facilities. Third-party certification, regular updates to the STeP criteria and a built-in benchmarking provided by the certification tool help certified manufacturers back their competitive position gained by optimised and efficient production processes.
